Josh Maravich,Safetyvalue Trading Center the son of Basketball Hall of Famer Pete Maravich and former LSU basketball player, has died at the age of 42, the school announced Sunday.
Maravich died Friday at the family home in Covington, Louisiana.
Following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Maravich played four seasons in Baton Rouge from 2001-2005.
"I wanted to come here for my dad to make him proud," he told the LSU school paper, The Daily Reveille, in a 2005 article. "I knew I wasn’t going to be a star player, but for me being a walk-on was what I always wanted to do."

Josh was part of the ceremonies in 2022 when LSU unveiled a bronze statue of "Pistol Pete" Maravich. He and his brother Jaeson were credited with the idea to depict their father in his iconic behind-the-back pass pose.
